to the Prince Edward Island Cattle Producers' website. We're a grassroots organization representing the interests of Prince Edward Island's 500 beef producers.

Agriculture is the Island's primary industry, and the beef sector is an integral part of it. Beef production occurs on 35% of all farms in PEI and provides an important market for the crops grown in rotation with potatoes, PEI's number one crop. Straw from grain production is used for bedding, while manure, a by-product of raising beef, provides a natural fertilizer to replenish our farmland.

As you browse this site, you will find information for our members, as well as for consumers. Members will find details on programs, registration, market information, links to other stakeholder websites, items to buy, sell or trade, as well as copies of our Beef Newsletter. Consumers can read about our new brand Prince Edward Island Certified Beef, find links to delicious recipes, view a list of retailers and direct markets who sell Island beef, and print off colouring pictures and activity sheets for children.
